core-vocabulary
The core-vocabulary label marks a document as part of the Documentation Index's own built-in vocabulary: the Type definitions, Label definitions, bootstrap policies, shipped hooks, and shipped scripts that the registry declares at service startup.
When to apply
- Every built-in vocabulary document under the ontology tree (docs/ontology/) and every runtime-configuration document under docs/core/ carries this label automatically by convention.
- Organisations should not apply this label to their own documents — it would cause a name collision with a reserved namespace.
When not to apply
- Domain documents, sample docs, any org-authored content: use domain-specific labels instead (for example documentation or technical-requirement).
