Factory Acceptance Test
A Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) is a customer-witnessed test executed at the factory before delivery. Passing the FAT is the contractual gate for shipping the delivered system to site.
Scope
The FAT covers functional verification against the agreed requirement baseline, witnessed by the customer's representatives at the supplier's premises.
